Meet the Vargas Family and their sustainable dairy farm. Your guide will take you along the beautiful property that sits so high up that it offers great views of the Nicoyan Gulf. Your guide will teach you about all the processes of the farm that make it environmentally sustainable. The main focus of this processes is the production of milk and agriculture on a sustainable way. The tour also includes a visit to milk the cows and feed the goats and pigs. You will end the tour learning about how to make fresh cheese and get to try it with a delicious homemade tortilla made by the mother of the Vargas Family and a cup of coffee or “aguadulce” which is made from sugarcane.

What to Bring: Closed shoes for walking, jacket, sunscreen and insect repellent. The mother of the Vargas Family also sells many of her handmade creations so if you would like to buy some artwork bring some extra cash.
